NEGATIVE
PRESSURE - Circulating and Temperature Control systems
|
| |
 |
| NO
LEAKS GUARANTEED – QPC's Negative Pressure
Systems work below atmospheric pressure. Air pressure
outside the mold is always greater than pressure
in the cooling channels so the fluid stays inside. |
|
|
| |
|
QPC
Negative Pressure Circulating and Temperature Control systems
pull water through a mold or die.
|
| |
| We
provide three models of negative pressure equipment: |
| |
 |
Negative
Pressure (NP) Water Circulating System pulls water through
a mold or die at a lowered pressure using a progressive
cavity pump. The pump can move both water and air that
may be drawn in from a leak. The air is vented from
the system before the water leaves the unit. More information
on NP water systems here. |
| |
|
 |
Negative
Pressure Temperature Control Systems with (NPCL) or
without (NPCLN) heating elements. Combines the NP Water
Circulating System with an open loop mold heater. More
information on NPCL/N systems here. |
| |
|
 |
Negative
Pressure, High Temperature Control System (NPHT) uses
water, ethylene glycol, or oil. (Must use oil under
negative pressure for up to 400 degrees F) These systems
possess various heating elements depending on voltage
and size of unit. More information on NPHT systems here. |

| HOW
TO SIZE UNIT: |
| |
 |
You
can use the tonnage of your molding or casting machine.
For example, if you were using a 400-ton press, the
average mold that would go into it can be handled by
our NP-400 as it would be able to handle the water requirement.
This would be true of the NP-300 for a 300-ton press,
etc. Note that it is better to be oversized than undersized. |
| |
|
 |
If
you know the flow through your mold or die, add 25%
to it. Then select the closest QPC NP System to the
GPM flow rate. |

The
QPC Closed Loop Negative Pressure, High Temperature
Control System pulls cooling fluid through a mold or
die at a lowered pressure by a centrifugal pump and
a venturi. Unit uses water, ethylene glycol, or oil.
(You must use oil under negative pressure for up to
400 degrees F) These systems possess various heating
elements depending on voltage and size of unit. A regulator
controls the pressure going from the pump to the mold.
Fluid returning to the NPHT unit enters the reservoir
above the level of the fluid to an area that is held
under vacuum. |
